The Executive Council of the Student Association is composed of both elected and appointed members. The Executive Council members of the Student Association are the official representatives and are responsible for the overall direction of the organization. The Student Association is comprised of three main groups, which includes the Student Association Cabinet, Senate and Class Council.
Jake is a senior double majoring in Biomedical and Software Engineering. This is Jake’s third year to serve the student body within the Student Association. Previously, Jake represented the College of Engineering as a Student Association Senator. He also served as the Community and Governmental Relations chairmen and the Pro Tempore of the Senate. On campus Jake is involved with the Honors College, acts as the scholarship chair of Sigma Chi, and is involved in undergraduate research. Jake is honored to have the opportunity to serve the student body and hopes to strengthen the student voice on campus through the Senate. Arman is a senior majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Pre-Law from Starkville, MS. This is his second year serving the student body as a part of the Student Association, having previously served on the Cabinet as a Co-Director of the Environmental Affairs Committee. Alongside his Student Association service, he has also been involved with the Soil and Water Conservation Society, Tau Beta Pi Honor Society, and undergraduate research at Mississippi State’s High Performance Computing Collaboratory. Additionally, he has interned at the National Science Foundation. Arman believes that it is the privilege and responsibility of the Student Association to represent every single student at Mississippi State, and is honored for the opportunity to do so.
