The Executive Council of the Student Association is composed of both elected and appointed members. The Executive Council members of the Student Association are the official representatives and are responsible for the overall direction of the organization. The Student Association is comprised of three main groups, which includes the Student Association Cabinet, Senate and Class Council.
Mayah is a Senior majoring in Educational Psychology from Meridian, MS. This is Mayah's third year serving the student body as a part of the Student Association. She has previously served as a Senator, and been a member of the Executive Council as Deputy Chief of Staff, and the Director of Programming. Along side her Student Association service, she has also been a member of Maroon VIP tour organization, a member of Lambda Sigma Honors Society, a Freshman Maid on the 2015-2016 Homecoming Court, a counselor for New Maroon Camp, and also served as the 2016-2017 New Maroon Camp Director. Jake is a senior double majoring in Biomedical and Software Engineering. This is Jake’s third year to serve the student body within the Student Association. Previously, Jake represented the College of Engineering as a Student Association Senator. He also served as the Community and Governmental Relations chairmen and the Pro Tempore of the Senate. On campus Jake is involved with the Honors College, acts as the scholarship chair of Sigma Chi, and is involved in undergraduate research. Jake is honored to have the opportunity to serve the student body and hopes to strengthen the student voice on campus through the Senate. Carley is a junior majoring in Political Science with a minor in Business Administration from Collierville, TN. This is Carley’s second year serving the student body on Student Association. She previously served as Co- Director for Research and Development on Cabinet. In addition to Student Association, Carley is very involved on campus, serving as Tri Delta’s Academic Chair, being a mentor for the Brickfire Program as a part of the Montgomery Leadership Program, serving as Vice Chair of Finance on the Shackouls Honors College Honors Council and New Maroon Camp on programming staff. Carley is honored to serve the student body every day in her position and hopes through her position to make Mississippi State feel like home for all students. Alex is a senior double majoring in Finance and Economics. This will be Alex’s second year serving the Mississippi State University student body on Student Association. During the past year, Alex represented the College of Business and Industry as a Student Association Senator, where he also chaired the Appropriations Committee. In addition to Student Association, Alex is a member of MSU’s Tennessee Valley Authority Investment Panel, serves as Treasurer and Elections Chairman for Sigma Chi, as well as owns and operates his own small company. Alex is excited to serve in this new position and to help students pursue what they are passionate about during their time here at Mississippi State. Charles is a senior majoring in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. This is his second year serving in the Student Association, previously having served on the Cabinet as a Co-Director of the Academic Affairs Committee. During his time here at Mississippi State, he has been involved with Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the Interfraternity Council, Global Medical Brigades, and Feed the Hunger. Additionally, he has interned at the Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineering Research and Development Center and the National Institutes of Health. Charles is honored to be able to serve the student body as Chief of Staff, and he believes the Student Association has a duty to serve every student on campus. Arman is a senior majoring in Civil Engineering with a minor in Pre-Law from Starkville, MS. This is his second year serving the student body as a part of the Student Association, having previously served on the Cabinet as a Co-Director of the Environmental Affairs Committee. Alongside his Student Association service, he has also been involved with the Soil and Water Conservation Society, Tau Beta Pi Honor Society, and undergraduate research at Mississippi State’s High Performance Computing Collaboratory. Additionally, he has interned at the National Science Foundation. Maurice is a junior majoring in Marketing from Waldorf, MD. This is Maurice’s second year serving the student body in the Student Association. He previously served as Co-Director of Visual Media on Cabinet. In addition to being involved within the Student Association, Maurice is also involved in Hail State Productions where he films for Mississippi State Athletics. In his free time, Maurice enjoys photography and video. Maurice is very excited and honored to serve the Mississippi State student body this year. Dee is a transfer student majoring in Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations from Smithville, MS. Dee is a senior who is in his second year of serving the student body as part of the Student Association. He has previously served as a Senator. Along with his Student Association service, Dee has also served as President of the Transfer Student Association, a member of Men of Excellence, several leadership positions at Itawamba Community College where he transferred from, and is currently serving as the 2018-2019 Spark Conference Director.
