Executive Council

The Executive Council of the Student Association is composed of both elected and appointed members. The Executive Council members of the Student Association are the official representatives and are responsible for the overall direction of the organization. The Student Association is comprised of three main groups, which includes the Student Association Cabinet, Senate and Judicial.

Tyler Packer is a senior political science major from Stateline, MS majoring in political science. This is Tyler's fourth year to serve the Student Association. Previously, Tyler served on Freshmen Council, The 57th Senate as a campus wide senator, Deputy Chief of Staff on the Executive Council and now president. Tyler loves getting involved with incoming and prospective students, which led him to to be apart of Mississippi State’s 2019 Orientation Leader team, Roadrunner, and New Maroon camp staff! He loves music and is also a member of Mississippi State’s Black Voices Gospel Choir. He served as Vice President of his fraternity Pi Kappa Phi, and hopes to continue to represent his hometown, family, and God to the best of his ability during his time here at Mississippi State. Garrett is a junior majoring in political science.  This is Garrett’s third year serving the student body within the Student Association.  Previously, Garrett served as Freshman Senator on the 57th SA Senate and a Campus Wide SA Senator on the 58th Senate.  Garrett is also a Provost Scholar and a member of Beta Upsilon Chi.  Garrett is looking forward to serving the student body by helping the Senate achieve their ideas and improve campus life and the student experience at MSU!

Anna is a junior from Moscow, Idaho majoring in biochemistry. This is Anna's third year serving the Student Association. Her freshman year she was a member of Freshman Edge and went on to serve on the Student Association Cabinet as a Director of Freshman Edge. On campus, Anna is also involved in New Maroon Camp as a counselor and Chi Omega Sorority. Treasurer

Tyler is a junior in the International Business Program majoring in Economics and Spanish. This is Tyler’s third year to serving the student body in the Student Association. His freshman year he was a member of Freshman Council and went on to serve as a Campus Wide Senator on the 58th Senate where he chaired the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee. Tyler is also a Presidential Scholar, the Co-Founder and Co-Campus Leader of the ONE Campaign at Mississippi State, and a member of Maroon VIP, Honors Ambassadors, and the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta. As a Starkville native, he has always been passionate about serving his community and university and is excited to continue to improve the student experience at Mississippi State. Sarah Helen is a senior majoring in Communication. This is Sarah Helen's fourth year to serve the student body within the Student Association. Previously, Sarah Helen served on Cabinet as the director of Freshman Forum and the Donald Zacharias Leadership Conference. She also served as a member of Freshman Forum her first year. Most recently, Sarah Helen served on the Student Association Executive Council as Secretary where she implemented policy such as a 24-hour study location and Cowbell Comments. On campus, Sarah Helen has been involved in New Maroon Camp, Maroon VIP, Chi Omega Executive Board, and undergraduate research. Sarah Helen looks forward to serving the student body and hopes to amplify the student voice through her position. Director of Programming

Yasmine Davis is from Charleston, South Carolina and is double-majoring in Geoscience, Broadcast Meteorology and Pre-Physician Assistant studies. This is Yasmine’s third year serving the student body. She was part of Freshman council her freshman year, and then she was promoted to Freshman Council Director of Programming during her sophomore year. All of the previous leadership experiences have led her to being the Director of Programming and President of the Pre-Physician Assistant Club for her junior year. One thing Yasmine enjoys the most is finding new ways to advocate for the minority population here on campus. Yasmine is open to meeting new people, and found that serving people through creating events is her passion. She is down-to-earth, and wants the student body to know that there is anything you can come to her and ask her about! Mallory is a junior from Columbus, Mississippi majoring in Accounting. This is Mallory’s third year to serve the student body within the Student Association. Previously, Mallory served on Cabinet as Co-Director of Community and Governmental Relations. She also served as a member of Freshman Council her freshman year. On campus, Mallory has been involved in Shackouls Honors College, T.K. Martin Ambassadors, Students for St. Jude, Beta Alpha Psi, and Kappa Delta sorority. Mallory has served Kappa Delta as Watermelon Fest Chair, as well as a Budget Committee member. Mallory hopes to use her position to improve the student experience on campus through new policy initiatives. Liv, from Grayson, GA, is a junior here at Mississippi State. She is majoring in Communication with a concentration in Public Relations. Hope Lee is a junior from Vicksburg, MS majoring in Communication with a Broadcasting concentration. This is Hope’s third year serving the student body through the Student Association, and she gives all glory to God. Starting out a member of Freshman Forum her first year, she then became the director of Freshman Forum and the Donald Zacharias Leadership Conference her sophomore year and now resides over the three Freshman Groups as Deputy Chief of Staff. Advocating for and helping to shape the freshman experience has become a passion of hers as she also previously served on the Executive Staff for New Maroon Camp as a Counselor Trainer. Hope wants students to know that life is about defying odds and that she hopes to aid underrepresented students of Mississippi State University in finding their passions and reaching new heights.
